Yemi Oshe Foundation Announces 2nd Edition of Football Competition

The Yemi Oshe Foundation, a charity organization based in Ado Ekiti, is pleased to announce the upcoming 2nd edition of its football competition. The tournament, which is aimed at empowering youth in the region, will take place across two local governments: Ado and Irepodun/Ifelodun.

The competition is set to kick off on August 3rd with preliminary matches in both local governments, featuring 16 teams in each location. The top four teams from each local government will qualify for the quarterfinals. The foundation’s goal is to use football as a tool to support and empower young people in the community.

The first edition of the competition was successfully organized by Ajangbala Sunday, and this year’s edition promises to be even bigger and better. The foundation’s owner, Yemi Oshe, has already demonstrated his commitment to supporting young people in the region, having provided support to several youths in Ado Ekiti and Irepodun local government using football as a tool.

A committee has been set up to support the competition, with notable stakeholders including Coach Femi Kumuyi (owner of Delight Football Academy and Ekiti State chief coach), Anjorin Kehinde (former chief coach of Ekiti United), and Popoola Adefemi (CEO of Facoms). They will work alongside with the sporting director, Ajangbala Sunday, to ensure the success of the tournament.
